Key Accountabilities:
• Execute governance and administration of the information access solutions utilized by DAR and the University for DAR-related purposes.
• Collect and interpret information access solution requests and requirements from non-technical users.
• Investigate and resolve issues with information access solutions as identified by non-technical users.
• Modify information access solutions in response to changes in industry, University, and team processes, standards, and objectives.
• Assist and advise DAR and other University constituents on the best practices for utilizing DAR information access solutions to achieve their goals.
• Develop and perform testing of all information access solutions before providing access to end-users.
• Ensure information access solutions comply with University governance documents, policies, and procedures; applicable laws and regulations governing fundraising and higher education; and accepted standards of higher education professional organizations such as those suggested by the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).
• Promote positive collaborative relationships with DAR colleagues, University constituents, and third parties to identify, develop, enhance, and implement short and long-term reporting and information access solutions.
• Consult with stakeholders to determine requirements and translate requirements into functional solutions.
• Collaborate with other DAR Information Services team members to problem solve, identify opportunities for improvement, and share knowledge and information.
• Serve as a liaison for DAR to, and collaborate with, Library and Technology Services to problem solve, identify opportunities for improvement, and share knowledge and information.
• Occasionally volunteer to support other teams in DAR, and support University events.
• Utilize, at an intermediate to advanced level, Salesforce configuration options, including, but not limited to: fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, and custom settings.
• Utilize, at an intermediate to advanced level, Salesforce-related query technologies, common technologies for querying non-Salesforce systems, all technologies related Salesforce Reports and Dashboards, Salesforce-related development technologies, and Tableau.
• Monitor new and emerging technologies and upgrades to existing technologies that impact information access solutions.
• Identify and attend conferences relevant to DAR's technology portfolio and the development and alumni relations industry.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field
• Three to five years of related work experience
• Exceptional skills in providing useful, accurate, and timely information to end-users
• Adept at critical thinking and problem solving
• Ability to work in an environment with that mixes project and operational work, prioritizing and escalating as appropriate
• Effective at communicating project/task status and issues to management
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases, such as Oracle
• Previous development and alumni relations, fundraising, higher education, and/or non-profit industry experience preferred
• One or more Salesforce certifications (e.g., Administrator, Architect, Developer, or Consultant tracks)
• One or more Tableau certifications (e.g., Desktop Specialist, Data Analyst, Consultant, or Architect).
