Reporting to the Director of Advancement Services, the Analyst identifies, researches, and analyzes information on prospective donors to SMHF, providing research support to Foundation leadership and Directors of Development to inform development strategies and advance potential donor relationships. The Analyst proactively identifies new prospective major and principal gift donors, qualifies and rates prospects, and delivers strategic database management and organizational support that enhances high-touch fundraising efforts — all in service of advancing the mission and vision of Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation. The Analyst must be curious, focused, and persistent in pursuing threads of information, and must exercise professionalism and discretion in working with confidential constituent information. The Analyst also must be capable of synthesizing a high volume of information into a concise and cohesive summary.
- Require a Bachelor’s degree, with two (2) to three (3) years of related not-for-profit experience with a background in data management or equivalent combination.
- Prefer demonstrated experience in prospect research, development, library research or information related field preferably in a higher education/healthcare environment.
- Prefer knowledge of the range of resources available to prospect researchers and the ability to apply those resources in an organized and purposeful manner.
- Prefer organizational skills involving administrative processes and in working with colleagues and support staff.
- Prefer the ability to work as an integral part of a fundraising team.
- Prefer proficiency in Microsoft Office, Raiser’s Edge, NXT, Research Point and iWave.
- Prefer self-motivated with ability to work under deadlines.
- Prefer detail oriented with excellent record keeping skills.
- Prefer the ability to work independently or in groups.
-Prefer familiarity with Apra, aasp, AHP, or other fundraising membership organizations, and their respective ethical standards.
