Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking applications for Director of Prospect Intelligence & Pipeline Optimization provides strategic leadership for enterprise-wide prospect intelligence, prospect management, and pipeline optimization in support of the institution’s fundraising and engagement goals. Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Advancement Services, this position oversees two professional staff responsible for prospect intelligence and prospect management and serves as a senior thought partner in developing and executing data-informed prospecting strategies.

 

The Director is responsible for translating complex data, analytics, and research into actionable insights that strengthen portfolio performance and advance philanthropic outcomes. This role partners closely with advancement leadership, frontline fundraising teams, and data and technology partners to optimize prospect pipelines and ensure alignment with institutional fundraising priorities. In addition, the position leads innovation in prospecting methodologies, including the integration of advanced analytics and emerging technologies, while establishing and maintaining clear, consistent, and scalable policies and practices. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the Director plays a key role in shaping strategy and influencing outcomes across the advancement enterprise.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and five (5) years of related professional work experience OR
  • Master’s Degree and three (3) years of related professional work experience

Related Experience:

  • Experience in prospect development, advancement services, analytics, or a related area
  • Supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-level prospect strategy, portfolio optimization, and data-driven decision-making within a complex organization; higher education or nonprofit advancement experience strongly preferred.
